Key Concepts


  • Language
    Use the correct language for your target audience. Are you going to speak formally or informally?
  • Institution
    Production companies. 
  • Ideology 
    The thoughts and feelings of the company/group behind a media text.
  • Audience
    To know your audience for any type of media is very important. This is because it determines on who will be reading/watching/listening to your final outcome. 
  • Representation
  • Representation is how each individuals/objects are portrayed and what they represent. For example: a magazine advert may include a sunny day to represent happiness.
